Highlight of the Week
JUMP | A Clashed Original Arcade Platformer
The Clashed Beta Nears
We’re happy to announce that our beta is on the horizon, with the expected release date set for the second week of October. We’ve successfully ported and restructured our mobile games over to web/browser, and the following games are poised to make their debut in the beta:
Jump, Solitaire, Spiderette, Bubble Shooter, Super Match 3, and 3Tiles.
We realise we haven’t mentioned four of these games previously—stellar marketing, right? However, that’s because we won’t be releasing them all at the same time. Our beta’s rollout details will be shared in the near future, make sure to join our Discord to stay updated with the latest developments.
Community Events
It’s always a good time when the community gets together, and that’s why we host two game tournaments every week!
JUMP & Poker
Last week, we recorded 90 and 153 unique users joining in our community tournaments—a pretty incredible turnout.
If you’re interested in potentially winning some prizes and, more importantly, having fun, be sure to join us next Tuesday & Thursday between 1-3PM UTC.
The timings were decided by community polls and are always open to change.
Chess Poll
We’ve recently released a poll to the community asking if you would join in a Chess Tournament. If this is up your alley, make sure you vote! You can vote inside our Discord, or simply reply to this email to let us know.
Web 3 News Round-Up

Gaming
Fundraising
The “GameFi Meta” continues its momentum as Web 3 Gaming fundraising thrives. Among the many, Proof of Play recently secured $33M in funding. Notably, 72.5% of the top 40 video game companies are now exploring Web 3 technologies, with giants like Microsoft, Tencent, Sony, and Nintendo leading the charge.
Yuga Labs LoTM
The open beta for Yuga’s Legends of Mara (LoTM) was unveiled last week as a collection-based 2D strategy game. As the third installment in the Otherside metaverse, LoTM has garnered significant praise. Yet, some controversies persist, with critics likening its gameplay to “a watered down version of DimensionalsRPG”.
The debate continues, but Yuga remains steadfast in its delivery.
Industry
Pudgy Penguins
Luca Netz and the team behind Pudgy Penguins deserve an incredible amount of praise for their takeover of the company. Lately, the penguins have been at the forefront of pushing Web 3 into the mainstream. Key milestones include:
Launching in over 2000 Walmart stores across the US.
Unveiling Pudgy World, a reimagined version of Club Penguin on ZkSync.
Courtyard
Courtyard, a pioneering platform that tokenizes physical products, recently launched its first batch of Pokémon cards on the Polygon network, receiving an overwhelming response. We applaud companies that harness blockchain technology productively, especially when it ensures the authenticity of collectibles.
Clashed Content
Oh look another plug! Sort of anyway. We release a lot of curated content at Clashed and simply want to highlight it! Our goal is to provide detailed information in a beginner friendly nature - there’s no need to make Web 3 more complicated than it needs to be.
